Running and Biking 


Chalet La Turche provides a perfect base for training holidays. 

Set at an altitude of 700m, from the chalet there are endless trails and roads to run and cycle on.  

Go off road along the valley floor, following the river and tracks to Sixt and beyond, or head up the mountain road for over 3,000ft of uphill running to Col de Joux Plane, where there are fabulous views of Mt Blanc.  

Try out hill sessions, intervals on the tracks in the valley, loops around the small lake, runs by the river, or just go trail running anywhere! Many of the paths have fresh mountain water fountains so you don't need to carry water with you.

Some ski lifts are open in the summer for mountain biking, with plenty of well marked mountain biking routes to follow. 

For road cyclists, the road up to Joux Plane is part of the Tour de France route and will take you up to 1,700m, over 7 miles. You can then head on down the other side to Morzine and Les Gets.

We cannot guarantee weather but we can guarantee beautiful views, a variety of routes and a lovely home to return to at the end of any session.
